M3- High Quality Magnesium

Magnesium in bioavailable forms mixed with zinc, vitamin B6 and malic acid for optimal effect.

The Puori difference

This isn’t your average mineral supplement. Vitamin B6 is added to enhance energy yielding metabolism, which is dependent on zinc, as a zinc-deficiency can inhibit the efficacy of vitamin B6. The unique combination of all three essential ingredients is your assurance that you will get the most out of Puori M3.

Quality sourced

Puori M3 is made from organic magnesium because this is easily absorbed by the body. The more efficiently your body absorbs magnesium, the greater the nutritional value you get. Our organic minerals are sourced from seawater and subsoil rich in these minerals.
Meant for your muscles
Magnesium is an important mineral that helps muscles to contract and function properly. Yet studies show that 48% of the population gets less than they need. Each dose of Puori M3  contains the same magnesium as 380g of spinach or 111g of almonds. Are you eating that many nuts or greens every day?

FAQ

What is Puori M3?

Puori M3 combines organic forms of the 2 indispensable minerals Magnesium and Zinc. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body, involved in more than 300 processes and critical to good health. Zinc is an essential mineral involved in numerous aspects of cellular metabolism including immune function.

Which form of magnesium is better?

Magnesium has to be bound to another compound to be absorbed effectively and magnesium supplements come in various different forms. Some are absorbed poorly whereas others can cause gastric distress and have laxative effects. Puori M3 contains
primarily Magnesium taurate combined with Magnesium gluconate, which are easily absorbed and have no laxative properties.

How do I take M3?

Some micronutrients, especially calcium, can interfere with the absorption of magnesium. Avoid taking your M3 supplement with foods rich in calcium like dairy products. Alcohol has also been shown to lessen M3’s effects when taken with it. Preferable take M3 30 minutes before bed time or after a workout on an empty stomach to get the full benefit of your supplement.

O3 – Ultra Pure Fish Oil

Ultra pure and highly concentrated fish oil. Each serving contains 2000mg omega-3 and each batch is third party tested by IFOS for freshness and purity.

Your body on fish oil

You’ve probably heard that you need more omega-3s but you may not realize just how important they are. They help your body maintain normal heart function as well as normal brain function and vision. One dose of Puori O3 is equal to 99g of wild salmon. If fatty fish isn’t always on your plate, you may want to add some fish oil to your daily regimen.

Quality sourced

Puori O3 is sourced exclusively from wild anchovies, responsibly caught in the south Pacific Ocean. Since these fish are low on the food chain they don’t accumulate toxins and heavy metals like larger fish such as cod, salmon and tuna. We’re not one to brag but we are consistently awarded 5/5 stars from IFOS for freshness, stability and purity.

No fishy taste

Puori O3 softgels don’t have the fishy taste or smell that you can get with some fish oils — it has a fresh lemon taste. The dark capsules protect the fish oil from light to avoid oxidation and keep them fresh. We recommend taking them with a meal.

FAQ

What is fish oil?

Fish oil is oil generally derived from fatty fish such as anchovy, sardines, mackerel, trout, and salmon. Fish oil is a good source of two specific long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3) known as EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). These two omega-3 fatty acids provide a wide range of health benefits.
Puori O3 contains fish oil derived only from wild caught anchovies. These fish are the fatty fish lowest in the food chain, meaning low accumulation of toxins. The oil is purified and concentrated to provide a high dose of EPA and DHA and no toxins

What should I look for in a fish oil supplement?

The number one thing to look for is a clean and fresh fish oil. Avoid fish oils that have a distinct fishy smell, that indicates the oil has oxidized.
Secondly, look at how much EPA and DHA each serving provides – this is far more important than the “total fish oil” amount. The fish oil needs to be highly concentrated to get the best effects and means a lower amount of fish oil is necessary each day to get the same results. Choose fish oils free of artificial flavors and artificial sweeteners.
Finally, when choosing a liquid fish oil, it is especially important to choose an oil developed to stay stable and fresh. In Puori O3 Liquid, medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is added to stabilize the oil and prevent oxidation. This means that the oil stays fresh and have no fish taste or odor.

How do I best store my fish oil?

Keep your fish oil in a cool, dark place, preferably in the fridge. This is especially important if your capsules do not have a dark capsule coating or come in a translucent bottle. Omega-3s react to light, heat and oxygen and can turn rancid. Rancid fish oil, based on the smell and taste should be discarded immediately.

How much omega-3 fish oil should I take?

The general recommendation is to aim for around 2-4 grams of omega-3 fatty acids preferably in the form of EPA and DHA per day. Ideally you would get this from a natural source like wild caught fish, but if you have limited access to these, you can use supplements to get the optimal dose. If you are a competing athlete, a higher daily dose may be recommended to prevent inflammation, enhance recovery, improve endurance performance. Talk to your medical doctor if you think you may need more.

Which fish oil to choose — Puori O3 liquid or O3 capsules?

If you find yourself asking whether you should take the liquid or capsule O3, be assured that you can take either. The health benefits are the same — it’s simply which method of delivery you prefer. Puori O3 liquid fish oil is pure and stable just like the Puori O3 capsules. The liquid fish oil can be used in a variety of ways; you can sip it from a spoon or blend it in your smoothie or food. It is great for those who struggle to swallow pills and it is the perfect choice for children from three years. The capsules are a convenient and hassle-free way of quickly getting the beneficial fish oil, and the capsules are easy to bring with you on the go.

The O3 liquid contains 150 ml, which corresponds to 30 servings whereas the O3 contain 120 capsules, which corresponds to 40 servings. What to choose depends entirely on your preference.

What’s better — omega-3s in the form of triglycerides or ethyl esters?

Triglyceride (TG) is the natural form of fats found in most foods where 3 fatty acids are bound to a glycerol backbone. When distilling and purifying the omega-3 fatty acids, part of the process is to replace this glycerol backbone with ethanol and ethyl esters (EEs) are formed. In high quality products, the omega 3 fatty acids are transferred back to a glycerol as TGs which is a costly process. Cheaper products leave the omega 3s as EEs. Fish oil in the natural TG form offers numerous advantages when compared to EE’s:

  • Higher bioavailability
  • Higher omega-3 absorption rates
  • Smaller risk of oxidation
  • Multiple countries (Australia, Denmark, Canada, Sweden and Norway) have banned the
  • use of EE’s. Be sure that your fish oil is a triglyceride!

D3 – Vitamin D

Vitamin D3 in a potent dose, dissolved in organic coconut oil for optimal absorption.

SUN OR SUPPLEMENT?

A main source of vitamin D is exposure to the sun. Today’s busy working life doesn’t allow for much time spent outside so supplementing is an easy way to get the vitamin D you need.

HEALTHY FAT
Your body needs fat to absorb vitamin D. We combined Puori D3 with organic, virgin coconut oil to ensure that you get the maximum benefit.

DARK CAPSULES
Vitamin D is sensitive to light, which will degrade the vitamin. That’s why we use dark capsules and dark bottles to protect your D3 from exposure to light.

Are You D-ficient?

Our immune system, muscles and bones need vitamin D to function normally. Yet deficiencies of vitamin D are common because many people don’t get enough exposure to sunlight or food containing vitamin D. The good news is that Puori D3  is formulated to compensate for this deficiency. It helps your body to absorb calcium and maintain normal bones.

Quality sourced

The vitamin D in Puori D3 is derived from purified sheep’s lanolin and is the form of vitamin D3 that the sun stimulates in our body. The softgels also contain organic, virgin coconut oil to ensure solubility.

FAQ

What is vitamin D3?

Puori Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin that is only naturally present in a few foods. Vitamin D is also produced in the body when UVB rays from the sun strikes the skin and triggers vitamin D synthesis.

What is vitamin D3 good for?

Vitamin D3’s primary role is promoting absorption of calcium and phosphorus, which is critical for bone growth and maintenance. Vitamin D3 also plays an important role in the function of muscles and the immune system.

How do I take vitamin D?

It is best to take your vitamin D with a meal.

How do I store Puori D3?

Store your Puori D3 in a cool, dark place as the capsules react to light and heat. Puori D3 comes in dark capsules and a dark bottle to protect vitamin D3 from exposure to light.

Does sunscreen affect vitamin D3 absorption?

UVB radiation from sunlight produces Vitamin D in the skin, however, UVB radiation also causes melanoma, skin cancer and photoaging. Sunscreen effectively blocks the UVB rays and protects the skin. Therefore, it might still be necessary to take a vitamin D supplement to reach adequate levels.

Where is your vitamin D3 sourced from?

Puori D3 is gently extracted from a natural source — sheep’s wool. It is then purified and blended with organic virgin coconut oil to ensure maximum absorption

Can I get all the vitamin D I need from the sun?

The amount of vitamin D you can get from the sun alone depends on time of day, geographical latitude, the color of your skin and the amount of skin you expose to sunlight. You produce most vitamin D in the middle of the day when the sun is high in the sky, and the closer to the equator you live the easier it is to produce vitamin D from sunlight. For example, in Florida your body can produce vitamin D most of the year, while in New York or Boston you can’t produce much vitamin D from November through March. The more melanin you have the darker your skin color, which works just like sunscreen regarding UVB exposure.

Labo Noir Enriched with inulin oligofructose

Inulin preparation of chicory with short, medium and long chain molecules.

INULIN- The natural sweetener

Inulin is a type of water soluble prebiotic fiber that is indigestible to us but essential for the optimal functioning of beneficial colon bacteria in the colon.
It is found in many of our foods. These include onions, leeks, garlic, asparagus, Jerusalem artichoke and chicory root.

By definition, a prebiotic is one of the indigestible fibers. Like other high-fiber foods, prebiotics pass intact through the upper gastrointestinal tract because they cannot be broken down by the human body. This is how they get to the colon, where they serve as nutrients for the bacteria. The bacteria living here ferment these fibers anareobically, converting them to short-chain fatty acids. The fatty acids produced in this way are involved in many processes, such as nourishing the cells that make up the colon, neurotransmitters such as neurotransmitters. They serve as a base for GABA or are transformed into easy-to-use energy-providing molecules, ketone bodies. The glycemic index (GI) of inulin extracted from chicory by soaking is about one-third of that of table sugar, so it can be a great alternative for sweetening our food. It helps to improve the taste of other sweeteners, it can be caramelized like sugar, without any aftertaste. Because it decays into fructose molecules at temperatures above 130 degrees Celsius, it is recommended to consume it in ‘raw’ form. When added to foods and beverages in the final phase, it is a great sweetener, an optimal nutrient for bacteria living in the intestinal tract.

Research shows that after an introductory period, up to 20-30 grams per day can be consumed without any negative effects. It is advisable to start with a smaller dose – 3-5 grams – and then gradually increase the level. The problem is that inulin, as a long-chain molecule, is more likely to degrade in the last part of the colon, so it may initially have some laxative effects. To accelerate this process, to alleviate side effects, we use a special inulin that contains both short, medium and long chain molecules. Clinical results show that it is much more tolerable than conventional inulin.

Research has shown that the inulin ingested in our food plays a role in the utilization of minerals such as calcium in the colon. The balance of gut bacteria that process inulin and other fermentable fibers creates ideal conditions for the levels of substances produced by fermentation in the body. One of these is vitamin K2. Clinical studies have shown that as a result of these processes, ingestion of 12 grams of inulin per day is capable of stopping and even reversing bone loss.

It is important to note that if you are currently experiencing digestive problems, inulin may aggravate your symptoms!
